I'll stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former twice world title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
